Struggling to finalise your team for GW 12? Don’t stress—we’ve done the homework so you don’t have to. Let’s dive in.

Goalkeeper & Defence

Brosnan & Zadorsky West Ham v Everton stands out as a fixture worth targeting for defensive points in GW 12. There have been five goals across three WSL games while Rehanne Skinner and Brian Sørensen have been in charge of their respective sides.

For tried and true reliability, Courtney Brosnan is an attractive pick for her mix of save, bonus, and clean sheet points. She kept two clean sheets in matches against West Ham last season.

For a more unique route, consider Shelina Zadorsky. A West Ham defender has been in the bonus points in the last couple of WSL games between these two teams. Zadorsky is good on bonus and also eligible for visionary points. Any attacking return guarantees three extra points, and if the Hammers keep out Everton, it could be a haul.

Fisk Liverpool have yet to keep a clean sheet all season, but there’s no better opportunity to break that duck than this week at goal-shy Leicester City. With injuries clearing up and the Reds' first-choice backline reassembling, Grace Fisk’s secure minutes and strong chances at bonus points make her a solid option for GW 12. Strongly consider.

Neville For the second week running, Tottenham defensive assets are worth targeting for an attractive fixture—this time against bottom-side Crystal Palace, whom Spurs shut out back in GW 1. Once again, Ashleigh Neville looks like the standout pick of the defenders. A splendid 9-pointer against the Foxes last week included top bonus points. An encore performance is very much on the cards, especially since Neville delivered identical results against Palace in the reverse fixture and against last season’s promoted side Bristol City in March.

Midfielders

Gorry It’s time to bring Katrina Gorry off your bench (or keep her in your XI). An excellent fixture at home to Everton awaits in GW 12. A bonus-point magnet like Gorry thrives in matchups like this, and with five attacking returns this season, any additional contribution would result in a real haul.

Clinton Brighton are one of the best midfielder matchups going around. Don’t be caught without a top-five midfielder and Fantasy WSL’s most popular player, Grace Clinton, for the visit of the Seagulls in GW 12. Clinton has past form too: in the reverse fixture in October, she scored and picked up bonus points en route to a 7-pointer at the Amex Stadium. Going back to GW 20 last season, she also earned a bonus point for Spurs against Brighton without scoring or assisting.

Raso A great matchup at Crystal Palace demands some Spurs midfield cover in GW 12. The Eagles have given up the most bonus points to opposition midfielders this season. Hayley Raso is worth a shout—she scored and earned a bonus point in a 9-pointer in the reverse fixture on opening day. This is a very good fixture for her, and she’s a worthwhile play.

Reiten It doesn’t get much more difficult for Chelsea than facing red-hot Arsenal under permanent manager Renée Slegers. Conversely, this is probably Arsenal’s hardest test since Jonas Eidevall’s departure. Back form over fixture for this one—Guro Reiten is Fantasy WSL’s top-scoring midfielder. Her set-piece and penalty duties could prove vital in a game like this. Reiten’s recent minutes, including 90 in the midweek cup win, provide additional reassurance.

Forwards

England Shrug off last week and return to Beth England for GW 12. The trip to Crystal Palace—by far the league’s worst defence—is too good to turn down. Even a superhuman performance by Shae Yanez on opening weekend didn’t stop Spurs from putting four past Palace in the reverse fixture. England assisted Drew Spence’s goal after coming on in that game. This week, she should get the full game to exploit the Eagles’ defence and is strong on bonus.

Fowler (c) A couple of high-profile injuries in Man City’s attack have resulted in additional responsibilities and solid minutes for Mary Fowler—great news for fantasy managers heading into GW 12. Fowler’s recent form has been encouraging, with a pair of assists in last weekend’s Manchester derby and another in midweek. Last season, she picked up an 11-pointer, including two bonus, in this exact fixture at Aston Villa on the final day. With just 4% ownership at the time of writing, Fowler offers plenty of edge and a high ceiling, making her a standout captain choice this week.

Russo Arsenal have the toughest game in GW 12, but Alessia Russo’s form makes her impossible to ignore. Russo is a top-five asset in Fantasy WSL, leading a free-scoring Arsenal attack. Her points-per-game have skyrocketed to 8.14 under Renée Slegers, up from 2.5 under Jonas Eidevall. In a fixture like this, it’s better to have Russo in your lineup than to be caught without her.

That’s your GW 12 scout sorted! Whether you’re playing it safe or going bold, these picks are your ticket to a standout week. Now it’s time to lock in your team, and watch the points roll in. Good luck out there!
