Hold onto your half-and-half scarves — the first double gameweek of the 2024/25 season is confirmed, and it's shaping up to be monumental.

Why Are We Getting a Double Gameweek?

If you remember the scramble to sell or bench your Chelsea and Manchester United players back in Gameweek 3, you know why. That week left many fantasy managers in a bind, with both Chelsea and United forced to sit out due to a fixture clash with the UWCL group stage. For the sake of player welfare, the WSL postponed Chelsea’s match against Manchester United, sparking speculation about when we might see a double gameweek.

When is the Double Gameweek?

The Barclays WSL has now confirmed that Chelsea vs. Manchester United is rescheduled for Sunday, November 24, with a 12:00 kick-off. This means both teams will double up in Gameweek 8.

What Does This Mean for Your Fantasy Squad?

A double gameweek offers a golden chance for massive points (or, perhaps, double the heartbreak). In Gameweek 8, Chelsea will face both Manchester clubs, hosting Manchester City at home before taking on United. Meanwhile, Manchester United will encounter Leicester City ahead of their showdown with Chelsea in London.

This means Chelsea and Manchester United players will earn points for both games in Gameweek 8, creating a prime opportunity for points hauls — and maybe even a perfect time to activate your Triple Captain Power-Up.

How Should You Prepare?

With a couple of gameweeks to go, now’s the time to start planning. Make each squad move count with an eye on Gameweek 8, where calculated choices could make all the difference. This is your chance to maximize the season's first double gameweek!
